He's here!!!

We could not be more excited to announce Milo's successful delivery this morning at 8:13 AM, weighing 6 lbs, 0 oz! The c-section went great and Sarah is recovering well as we speak.

The team was quickly able to intubate Milo and manually assist his breathing while he maintained a good heart rate, which allowed them to wheel him by Mom's side before heading to the NICU with Dad to get him on a ventilator for stabilization.

We are so so so lucky to have such an awesome team caring for Milo here at Northwestern and Lurie's. There are plenty of ongoing evaluations and monitoring being done to get a full understanding of his status, but wanted to share the great news! He's here and he is a strong little one to say the very least!
